This blog is run alongside my instagram acount kpkickingabout, and is all about my little adventures around scotland and further afield. Hiking, camping, bikepacking, cycling will all feature as will the planning as I love a good planning session!

There are a couple of themes running through the blog and insta account, the first is showing off climbing munros or a cycling challenge, the second is trying to have little adventues without spending a fortune from equipement to food to travel and the third is probably the real reason  I love doing all these things. So other than the sense of acheivement and meeting loads of lovely people is that feeling of getting away from it all.  Standing in the middle of mountatins that have stood for thousands of years, being small and insignificant and thinking of all the people that have stood just where you have before and those that will come after. For me its a feeling of mindfulness without having to sit still.
